Now let me tell you about this place! This old miners cabin was part of Bachelors Row from the late 1800's in Silver Star, Montana! Silver Star is between Whitehall and Twin Bridges and is the third oldest town in the state. Silver Star was a supply point for silver miners and the only town between Virginia City and Helena. Silver Star is located along the Jefferson River, and the Tobacco Root Mountains provide the backdrop for this town. This range has numerous old mining claims and prospect sites near the towns of Twin Bridges and Sheridan, which were most active from the 1880's until the 1930's. This cabin was used by the miners from the Green-Campbell Mine. The root cellar was redone in 2013. The bottom three logs of root cellar are original logs. The rest of the stacked logs are from an old cabin that was torn down. The well is 54 feet deep and had a brand new submersible pump installed June of this year. Now is your chance to own a piece of historic Montana!
