Absolute end of road privacy--literally the road ends on this property. 2 patented mining claims that straddle Harrison Creek. Located entirely below timberline, this property is covered in spruce trees and some very very big ones. You will want to cut some trees down in order to open your view up even more, but you do have a very nice view of the back side of Red Mountain Pass plus you can look across the valley and see the Silverton extreme ski area. Definitely no avalanche issues with this property. You would want to build on the east side of Harrison Creek but it would be fun to build a rope and wood suspension bridge across the creek to get to the west side! There are a couple of areas on the east side flat enough to build a nice cabin. This would be an off grid location. There are actually 2 tunnels on this property according to the United States mineral survey plat. The one on the west side of Harrison Creek I have seen and been in. It isn't very long and still has some old railroad iron in it that causes "redish water" to come out of it, according to the owner. The tunnel on the east side of Harrison Creek is much larger, but the portal is caved in. That would probably be a great spot to open the portal and explore and even do some mining. Access down to the creek is steep so you'd probably want to put in some sort of a rock stairway going down. The water in the creek is year-round. Owner says this property is not on the EPA cleanup list but buyer should verify for their own satisfaction. Sellers would be willing to owner carry with 33% down, 10 year amortization, with monthly payments at 4.5% per annum (subject to credit approval of course).
